Kahuna/Lomilomi Massage 90 min minimum followed by a detox sauna $140
The Hawaiians look at things in terms of energy flow, following the idea that an idea or belief can block energy flow as much as muscle tension can. Kahuna helps release the blockages, whilst at the same time giving the energy new direction. Thus Kahuna is not just a physical experience; it also facilitates healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels as well. The Hawaiians view all aspects of the body as one and believe that the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual are all part of the “whole” self – when healing is effected on one level, all levels are affected.
When harmony is lacking the effect is pain physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. Illness is a state of tension, which leads to resistance which blocks energy movement. Kahuna helps release this and therefore facilitates the road to healing. On the physical level, through Kahuna stress and tension are relieved, blood and lymph flow assisted and the elimination of wastes and toxins stimulated.

Incorporated into your 90 minute bodywork session, are a number of the following modalities tailored to what comes up during your treatment with Tracy.
Relaxation Massage
Dreamtime – Relaxation/Swedish Swedish Massage utilizes long, flowing strokes in the direction of the heart. It concentrates on the superficial muscles layers to increase circulation and blood flow. This is a wonderful way to wind down after a long day.
Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage Tracys remedial skills will assess your entire muscle and joint presentation then apply remedial massage techniques that incorporate the principles of rebalancing the musculoskeletal system and preventing further injury and pain. You may find each treatment differs slightly due to the highly individual approach based on your needs. Start with an additional infrared sauna session to warm up and prepare the muscles to let go and relax during the treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deep layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. This is an especially popular style for everybody. Finish with a far infrared sauna and receive the full benefits.
Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two.It feels good and it is beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it’s important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.
The purpose is to “unstick” the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, while relaxing and soothing the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage Competing in a sport at an elite level? Gearing up for a big event? Or are you just trying to get a little fitter and spending more time in the gym? Did you know that a sports massage may give you the edge that you’ve been looking for? Sports Massage combines both relaxation and remedial massage techniques and deep tissue. Sports Massage must be tailored to each individual sportsperson, their training regime, level of competition, and sport specificity. Sports Massage is often applied to reduce recovery time between training sessions or competitive events.
It also plays a vital role during injury management and can see a player back on the field faster than a fellow sportsperson who hasn’t received any soft tissue treatment. Sports Massage can also play a role in the psychological preparation of the competitor, and can form a cornerstone of their training regime. Tracys extensive experience as a body worker has taken her to international sporting organizations and local. Finish with a far infrared sauna and receive the full benefits.
Cupping
Cupping is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments that improve chi flow and circulation. Placing of a closed container where a partial vacuum has been created, on the skin for medicinal purposes. The vacuum is created in the cup, then quickly removed as the cup is placed on the skin. The quicker this occurs, the more suction is retained in the cup. The vacuum inside the cup allows suction to draw up the underneath tissues into the cup, and forms an area of blood stasis. (note Tracy does not used the flame method, nut the suction cups which are just as effective)
The cup may be left in place for between 5 to 10 minutes and were the blood stasis or bruise is formed and healing takes place. The time of application is adjusted according to the strength of the vacuum inside the cup. The cup may be left in a stationary position or moved with the assistance of oil (applied prior to the cup). The cup should be removed when the skin has gone a reddish/purple colour and if the skin has not gone red after 5 minutes, the treatment is not considered successful. The faster the skin turns red, the better the prognosis.
Sliding Cupping is used to treat blood stagnation and pain in large areas of thick muscles. Single Cups are applied for specific areas of tenderness and point stimulation, or upon trigger points while Multiple Cups are used for disorders of a larger area (e.g. along a muscle strain). Rapid Cupping benefits areas of local numbness and atrophy.Overall the purpose of Cupping is to relax muscles, warm the tissue, promote the flow of chi and circulation, dispel cold and dampness (TCM terms), and reduce swelling and pain. Cupping is considered to be one of the best types of deep tissue treatment available. Also quite common is cupping may leave bruising for up to 7 days. Finish with a far infrared sauna and receive the full benefits.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu. Ancient Japanese Meridian massage. Very gentle yet extremely relaxing. Shiatsu technique refers to the use of fingers and palm of one’s hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. It is also a method contributing to the healing of specific illnesses.
Dry Needling
Enerchi offers dry needling to help combat neuromuscular pain and tension. Dry needling is the Western version of acupuncture.
Research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, normalizes biochemical and electrical dysfunction of motor endplates, and facilitates an accelerated return to active rehabilitation.
Dry needling is an effective and efficient therapy method for the treatment of myofascial trigger points. Trigger point dry needling is performed by medical doctors, physical therapists, nurses, chiropractors, and dentists that are specifically trained in the technique. The approach is based on Western anatomical and physiological principles. The technique utilizes fine solid acupuncture needles to release trigger points in muscle, but in all other aspects it is different than traditional acupuncture.
Tracy will incorporate this modality if requested or need be.
